Roper is a Whirlpool Corporation brandnew. The Roper washing machine, model # RAX4233PQ0, is a leading loading, direct-drive machine: it doesn’t use a drive belt for performance, but rather, features a direct coupling of the motor to the transmission and pump. Most of the drier parts are held in place with screws and spring clips. The leading cabinet and control console has to be disassembled prior to the rear panel may be removed. However, as all repairs may be made without removing the rear panel, the sole reason to eliminate it is the rare scenario in which the panel itself needs to be replaced due to damage.
Remove the Washer Cabinet
Disconnect power to the drier by unplugging the appliance in the receptacle.
Turn off the water to both the hot and cold side in the house supply valves and eliminate both seams in the links in the rear of the washing machine.
Remove the drain hose in the drier by loosening the hose clamp using a pair of pliers.
Pull the drier from the wall and locate the 2 screws in the rear of the drier — one on each side which secure the console to the peak of the machine. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws. From the rear of the drier, grasp the console on both sides and move it forward one-half inch.
Lift the console and rotate it back so it rests on its hinge straps. Disconnect the lid switch cable tap in the cover of the machine.
Go to the front of the drier and locate both retaining clips that secure the cabinet to the rear panel. There will be one clip on each side. Insert a flathead screwdriver to the lip of the clip and push straight back to release the clip. Remove the clip in the rear panel by pushing down and forward.
Ample and hold the lid while gripping the closet in the inner rim in the front of the drier and lift the rear of the cabinet to a 45-degree angle. Pull ahead to release it in the bottom frame, then lift the cupboard free.
Remove the Control Console
Remove the pressure relief hose in the water level switch on the console. The pressure relief hose is going to be a little diameter clear plastic tube which connects to your drier drum.
Remove any clips, restraints and retainers that secure the pressure hose and wiring harnesses to the rear panel. You might need a flathead screwdriver for this.
Remove the bolt and nut which secure the ground wires to the rear panel using a pair of pliers and disconnect them in the rear panel. Rotate the console to its initial position, and using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 2 screws on the rear that secure the hinge straps to the rear panel. Lift the console in the rear panel and set it above the drum.
Remove the Back Panel
Remove the 2 screws in the rear that secure the rear panel to the base using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Lift the rear panel from the foundation.
Reverse all actions to reassemble.
